Welcome to Smile Club English School! My name is Bowen Baars. I’m from South Africa with German roots.
I enjoy making videos, teaching, programming, gaming, and diving into my latest hobbies: AI and 3D printing.
I think learning can be easy and exciting. I believe every child has the potential to be brilliant.
My goal is to help my students grow and have brighter futures. No matter how much we know,
there’s always more to learn.
Most of the skills I bring to teaching were honed right where the learning happens—in the classroom.
Yet, my teaching toolbox expanded through a TEFL course in South Africa and further deepened with studies in Japan,
shaping me into the educator I am today.
Smile Club began as just one room but has grown into a family of schools with wonderful teachers and students.
