I am a mother of three kids. I have finished my Masters in “Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic Programming”. I have the experience of how to deal with children’s mental care, psychological problems including the changes that appear while growing up and also supporting their mothers. Sometimes English might be difficult and sometimes the kids might hate it, however I always do my best to create a fun learning atmosphere. So dear parents you really can count on us. Anything you need to know about English teaching process, family, school, friends and Japanese culture (life in Japan) please don’t hesitate to let me know of your concerns!

Hi to all,

I am from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Teaching kids was and still is my main interest in life. I have always been interested in developing my skills as an English teacher and believe that no matter how much one knows, there is always room for improvement. I have also taken both a TEFL course as well studied to become an English instructor for children. I try my best to keep my students motivated and interested in what they’re taught.

Here is Maha, coming from a Syrian background though my mom is Japanese. I've been teaching English for four years now. I have the passion for languages. I like to share my knowledge and experience with kids. I appreciate every single day I spent with them where I learn sometimes more than I teach!

Hello, my name is Jesse and I come from America. I’ve been in Japan for 10 years and have 12 years experience teaching English. I have a passion for many things, among them – books, outdoors and travelling. Something I love about teaching English to children is watching them grow, smile and speak more and more English every time I see them. I could always remember my favourite teachers in school. My goal is to become a wonderful part of each child’s memory as well. Let’s have fun studying English together at Smile Club!

Hi, I’m Jesten from America. I have been working with children since the age of 12 and look forward to spend many more years doing the same. I love to work with music and theatre and was part of the teaching/performance group “The Young Americans” for 6 years. I hope to bring my love of music, games, performance and the English language to the children of Japan.

Hey, my name is Rob and I come from England. Thanks to my parents I have lived a very well travelled life, living not only in the UK but also in Austria and India. I love to travel and learn about different cultures. Living in Japan and working at Smile Club is a fantastic experience for me. Working as a teacher is something I have hoped to do for a while, I believe that life is a continual lesson and I am therefore eager to both help
others whilst improving myself. The thought of passing on my knowledge to others brings me great satisfaction and reward. Who better to teach than our own future!

My name is Naomi and I was born and raised in the US. Although English is my native language, I can also speak conversational Japanese. Getting to know each child individually is a great bonus of working at Smile Club, and I look forward to seeing each student learn and grow!

Hi there!

My name is Damian. I first started here at Smile Club in May 2008. I have Smile Club to thank for where I am now. Currently I am studying to become a teacher at university in Australia.

I hope to always be affiliated with only Smile Club as it really is above the majority of English Schools in what it's focus is. Without question, the staff dedication, understanding and passion are unique only to Smile Club. I continue to come to Japan twice a year to be part of the Smile Club community.

I`ve been teaching preschoolers for 4 years in Japan. Also, I have had a rewarding volunteer experience teaching Japanese culture to children in Ireland for 1 year. I would like to give children many chances, so that they can enjoy learning and have fun. I’m always glad to see children growing and learning day by day. Each child has his or her specialty. I’d love to help the development of each child’s talent. Let’s have fun at Smile Club together.
